 The need for a comprehensive disaster recovery solution was underscored by the four hurricanes that struck Florida this year. Reviews of backup systems show many stop operating properly, and that there is exposure for credit unions and small businesses who may need to eventually rely on those backups.

Tape based systems require constant swapping of tapes, baby sitting to see if backups completed, and frequent testing to ensure tape integrity. Off-site backup rotations are also a problem as they are tedious and they have a high risk of tape theft/loss, damage to backup media, and outdated backups.

Our Data Vault product allows company’s to store off-site backups of server data in a safe and secure manner. Data is encrypted at the client  server and transmitted to our servers where it is safely stored. Backups are done incrementally, preserving bandwidth, and maintained for a full month.

Daily backup schedules are standard, and separate schedules are available for more frequent backups of critical data—excellent for in-house systems. Our optional Open File Manager client allows for backing up of Microsoft SQL databases and even Exchange files.

All backup functions occur in the background, requiring no user intervention. This means no more swapping tapes only to find out the backup didn’t work. Also, no more forgotten tapes at home, resulting in outdated offsite copies.

Restoring files is just as easy, allowing you to quickly select and restore files, from any backup over the last month. Backups can also be copied to CDs or DVDs for additional archive/restoration options.

Concerned over security? Our servers are isolated on a non-public network and access is limited only to clients. While data is encrypted in transport, VPN connectivity is available for even more protection. Data encrypted on the backup server is protected by a unique encryption key and a military grade encryption protocol (Blowfish protocol with a 443-bit key length).
